摘要
本文利用小信号模型对基于半导体光放大器 (SOA)交叉增益调制 (XGM)波长转换器的噪声变换进行了理论分析和数据计算。结果表明 ,泵浦光功率和探测光功率的大小以及光放大器的增益对噪声变换有直接的影响。在适度的输入功率范围内 ,噪声得到有效的抑制。
Noise transfer characteristics of wavelength converters based on cross gain modulation (XGM) in semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs) is analyzed with a small signal model. The numerical simulation results show that the input pump power and probe power and the gain of SOA have direct influence on the noise transfer. In an appropriate range of input power, the noise can be effectively suppressed, and quality of converted signal is improved.
