摘要
在英汉两种语言里 ,都有很多表示色彩的有趣词汇 ,它们在文学作品里以及人们的生活中都起着很大作用。本文试图对英语中几个最常见的表示色彩的词 :red ,black ,white ,blue,yellow ,green加以探讨 ,指出它们在不同的语言、文化和社会环境下所包含的不同含义以及如何正确理解和使用它们。
In both English and Chinese, there are plenty of interesting colour words. They play an important part in literature and daily life. This paper discusses the most frequently-used colour words“red, black, white, blue, yellow, green”, pointing out their different meanings in different languages and different cultural backgrounds, and how to understand and use them correctly and effectively. \ \
