The hardware and software design of reactive power compensation controller with micro- controller is introduced. With the serial interface ICs, it is possible to simplify circuit, reduce cost and get higher reliability. In software design, polarity identification of CT, Power factor measurement, control algorithm for simplifying program and anti - interrupt methods are discussed.
