摘要
自清朝中晚期以至中华民国和中华人民共和国建国以来 1 30多年间 ,中国英语教育的发展从实际到理论经历了曲折的变化 ,对这一过程进行翔实地梳理 ,以史为主 ,史论结合 ,能揭示出我国英语教育在各个历史时期的现状、经验和教训对社会发展的作用 ;同时西方各种外语教育理论和教学方法的利弊对我国英语教育各时期都有影响。
In the past 130 odd years from the middle and late periods of Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China and to the People's Republic of China onward, the development of China's English education has undergone tortuous changes from practice to theory. This paper makes a full and accurate carding of its course and, on the basis of history and in combination of historical facts and discussion, brings to light the reality, experiences and lessons of our English education and its impetus to the social development.ln the meantime,the advantages and disadvantages of the theories and pedagogies of foreign languages teaching in the western countries also had their influences on our English education in different historical periods. And it is an urgent matter to set forth relevant propositions about developing our English education according to its existing problems.
