摘要
从小说文体的内涵精髓而非现代小说的一般形式出发 ,应以“唐五代通俗小说”代替“唐代话本”概念 ,指称唐五代以通俗语体包括通俗说唱语体写成的虚构性叙事作品。它们是我国古代通俗小说的一个强劲而耀眼的开端。这不仅是就量而言 ,更是就其具有丰富、深刻的美学和历史价值而言 :在遗落当代史的时候反映了当代史 ;其诗笔、诗思、诗情可与文人传奇相互映照又迥然不同 ;特别善于“把死历史作成活戏剧” ;在小说题材。
In light of distillation of the connotation of novel style rather than in light of its modern form, the concept the popular novel in the Tang and Five dynasties in stead of the storyteller text novel in the Tang dynasty should be used to denominate those unreal narrative works composed by popular language including popular tell sing language,which indicate the strong and dazzling beginning of our classic popular novel.This conclusion is based on both of their quantity and this fact they harbor rich,profound value in aesthetic and in history.They reflect contemporary society while not mentioning it.The poetic type, imagination, feeling which they possess can shine upon and contrast to literati romances.They are good at “ changing dead history into vivid dram” .In aspects of theme exploitation,figure setting,and portray skills of novel,they have also made substantial achievement.
