摘要
本文根据实地考察并结合有关资料,对夏威夷群岛地貌的一些特点进行探讨。首先,分析了这些岛群的大地地貌特征;其次,介绍了灾害性地质地貌现象的控制和利用;最后,对夏威夷群岛的地貌演变趋势进行了探讨。这对大地地貌的研究以及对我国海岛开发将有所借鉴。
Based on our field investigation and relevant documents, this paper studies the geomorphological features of the Hawaiian Islands, which can be divided into three zones: 1. the Midway Islands atolls, 2. the Gardner Islands coral banks, 3. the Hawaiian Islands; makes an anelysio of the control of natural calamities in the area investigated; and studies the law of the geomorphological evolution of the Hawaiian Islands: the time of the formation of the East Hawaiian volcano islands is short, the coral reef growth rate is less than land lift rate, It appears in the form of coast skirt reef; the Land lowering rate of the Middle Gardner islands is equal to the coral reef growthrate, therefore it appears mainly in the form of coral banks; the land lowering rate of the West Midway islands is greater than its coral reef growth rate, so it appears mainly in the form of coral atolls.
