摘要
辛亥革命准备时期 ,刘师培的地理学研究成为鼓吹资产阶级民族民主革命的重要内容。他满腔热情地歌颂祖国山河的壮丽 ,激励人们的爱国思想和反抗精神 ;科学地揭示地球和生物的起源 ,解释自然现象 ,批判天人感应和君权神授说 ;按照近代西方地理学理论、体系、体裁 ,编写《中国地理教科书》 。
During the preparatory stage to the 1911 Revolution of China, Liu Shi-pei's reseavch in geography constituted the important content advocating chinene bourgeois national and democratic revolution.He encouraged the people's patriotic idea and rebillious spirit by enthusiasmly extoling the magnificence of chinese mountains and rivers. He also criticized the preach that God and people responsed to each other and the theory that monarchical power was confeved by God,through revealing the origin of the earth and living things and explaining the nature phenomenon in the light of modern science.In addition, he compiled `Chinese Geographic Textbook' according to modern western geographic theory,system and types,so making a contribution to the estabilishing chinese modern geography.
