摘要
陈序经的高等教育思想是丰富而有特色的。他认为 ,大学教育的目的在于求知 ;高水平的教授是办好大学的关键 ;良好的环境是大学不可缺少的条件 ;学习西方的先进文化是大学教育的重要内容。在办学实践中 ,陈序经力求贯彻这些思想 ,不但为当时的教育事业做出了重要贡献 ,而且也为后人留下了可资借鉴的教育资源。
Chen Xujing's thoughts on higher education are abundant and of characteristics . His thoughts are as follows.First,the object of university education is to seek learning.Second,professors of higher level are the key of being a good university.Third,a favourable environment is one of the indispensable conditions of a university ;Finally, studying western advanced culture should be important content of higher education. Chen Xu-jing tried his best to implement these thoughts in his practice of running a school.He not only contributed to temporal undertaking of education, but also left teaching resources for people of later generations to utilize.
