The thesis probes into characteristics of the development of Chinese traditional sports starting with the expounding of the implication and the developmental features of sports.It points out that the thought and forms of Chinese traditional sports fell far behind the world′s sports, when influenced by contempary western sports,China still hasn′ t solved the problems. The thesis also discusses a series of problems which occured in the process of modernizing of Chinese sports among the Chinese and sports circles.
