摘要
本文阐述了作者研制的LiF:F_2^-晶体色心调Q的YAG倍频激光器.该激光器输出高重复率、高峰值功率、窄脉宽的脉冲蓝绿激光,适用于机载激光雷达进行大面积、高深度、高精度的海洋探测.文中还介绍了这种激光器输出激光的偏振性、脉冲宽度和能量的稳定性等实验结果.
A high repetition rate and frequency-multiplied Nd: YAG laser with a passive Q-switch of LiF:F-2 color center crystal is described. A laser pulse with a peak power of 1.92MW and pulse duration of 8ns has been obtained from the frequency-multiplied Nd: YAG system at a repetition rate of 116Hz and a wave length of 532 nm with a spectral line width of 0.005 nm. The F-2 color center of LiF crystal has a high relaxation rate between levels as well as high thermal stability. The crystal has a high anti-damage threshold to laser. The blue-green light pulse duration from the laser with LiF crystal Q-switch of different F-2 color center concentrations, stability of the pulse durations and radiant energies as well as polarizability of the radiation were measured. It is shown by experiment that the crystal can operate at a high pulse repetition rate when subjected to intensive lasing.The mean power of the blue-green laser with intracavity frequency multiplication is about three times as high as that with extracavity frequency multiplication. This laser system is applicable to airborne lidar for bathymetry.
