Stories for the transience of human life are the same theme showed by both ancient Chinese literature and ancient Japanese literature. The difference lies in that Chinese poets are more incline to feel the same sorrow in relation with politics and historical events, while Japanese poets think over the tragedy of life in itself. And sorrowing over death linked with the feeling of nature is the same way of artistic thinking dominating both Chinese literature and Japanese literature. The difference is that Chinese poets enjoy the eternal existence of nature, while Japanese poets the transience of natural scene.
