摘要
本文简要说明现代力学的由来,提出现代力学学科发展的纲目划分的设想,扼要评述现代力学学科中作为纲的学科的现况和发展。在此基础上提出现代力学的特点、发展动力和对力学工作者的要求。
This paper illustrates the evolutions of mechanics from its early stage to the modern mechanics and proposes that modern mechanics may be divided into three areas and thirteen major brances. For each of these major branches a brief survey is presented on its current situation, trend of development, and research problems. The main characteristics of modern mechanics and the motive force of the development of modern .mechanics .are analyzed. The general requirements for a researcher in modern mechanics are suggested.
