摘要
远程教育哲学理论的中心课题是论证远程教育形态的合理性。人际面接交流一直被公认为所有教育形态的必备要素和核心。正是在远程教育这种新的教育形态中,依据工业化和现代信息技术提供的可能性,面对面交流的核心地位被非人际的电子通信手段替代了。远程教育面临的主要挑战是通过非连续通信克服时空间隔重新构建或再度综合教-学过程。本文概括论述国内外远程教育理论界对创建远程教育哲学理论所作的探索及其取得的主要成果,包括远程教育学生自治和双向通信的理论,以及远程教育教与学重组的理论,它们已经成为远程教育哲学理论的主要代表。
This is the third one of the series of papers entitled “an overview of exploration of elementary theories for distance education”, focusing on an examination of the philosophic theories of distance education. The principal task for philosophic theories of distance education is to justify the distance education in the family of education and training. Inter-personal face-to-face interaction is recognized as the essential core of all forms of education, however, based on the possibilities provided by industrialization and information technology, it is distance education that has replaced this essential core of face-to-face interaction by the use of electronic communications. The principal challenge facing distance education is that distance teaching and distance learning need to be re-constructed and unified through overcoming of the space-time separation. The paper examines the exploration in formulating of philosophic theories of distance education and the main outcomes in international community of distance education. Among others, the theories of learner autonomy and two-wax communications, the re-integration theories of distance teaching and learning are the major achievements of today's philosophic theories of distance education.
