Rivastigmine, a sort of acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, is used in the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate Alzheimer's Disease (AD). Now it has been launched in Switzerland, and the market prospect is very good. In this essay, we have studied a synthesis routine of Rivastigmine, which is suitable of domestic production. We prepared the racemic and gained (S) isomer by the resolution with D DTTA.
