促进西部经济大发展，缩小西东部地区差距需要正确处理以下关系：一、处理好循序渐进与跳跃式发展的关系；二、处理好市场经济与计划调节的关系；三、处理好经济发展与民族教育、科技进步的关系；四、处理好经济发展与人口增长、资源开发和环境保护的关系；五、处理好自然资源开发与人力资源开发的关系。
To promote the economy development in the east,sho rten the developm ent gap between the east and the west of China,several relationships need to be settled correctly:1.Developing in an orderly way and skipping,strive for skippin g development. 2.The market economy and planned adjustment,strive for stronger p o licy support and protection. 3.The economy development and the national minority ' s education,scientific development on which the economy development must be base d. 4.The economy development and the population growth,resources development and environment protection,ensure the continuous development of economy. 5.The natu r al resources development and the manpower resource development,meet the challeng e of the knowledge economy.
