摘要
作为"桐城正宗"的吴德旋,在其古文理论著作《初月楼古文绪论》中论及六朝人范晔,谓其文"无事外远致",这恰与原始出典范氏《狱中与诸甥侄书》之原意存在一定程度上的理解误差。范晔所理解的"事外远致"集中体现了六朝的文观(既重视作者的情志,又对文的藻韵有一定要求),而吴德旋的理解实则是借此来表达桐城派的古文理想。吴氏一千多年后,重新拈出"事外远致"概念,接续其议,并非一种巧合,正可由此发掘他们各自时代对于"文"之典范的不同理解,藉此也可透视古代文论抒情传统在不同时代的流变。
Wu Dexuan who was called the representative of Tongcheng group, suggested that there was no shiwaiyuanzhi (a term of literary theory) in Fan Ye’s article, in his famous book Chuyuelou Guwen Xulun. But as Fan’s letter, named Yuzhongyuzhushengzhishu, shows that Wu’s view was clearly wrong. That is a kind of misreading. Fan’s understanding suggested that the author in Six Dynasty should put emphasis not only on emotion, but also on the text of algae rhyme. As to Wu, he just expressed his understanding of ideal essay in Tongcheng group. An analysis of this phenomena can help us to understand that it was not a coincidence when Wu reintroduceded Fan’s term, that reflects the corresponding understanding of WEN in different literary history stages, it also suggests the diversity of lyrical tradition in Chinese Literary Theory.
