摘要
通过语料库检索软件Ranger和Antconc 3.2.1,研究1789年至2013年共56篇美国总统就职演讲语言的词汇特征。结果表明,词汇难度,演说辞均主要运用英语中最常用词汇,而次常用词汇、学术词汇以及其它词汇相对来说运用较少;人称代词,第一人称占据压倒性优势;情态动词,中量值情态动词使用比例最大,低量值情态动词次之,高量值词最小。
In virtue of corpus software Ranger and Antconc 3. 2. 1,this paper aims at investigating the vocabulary features of American president＇s inaugural speeches which are from 1789 to 2013. Research indicates that： the most common English words are mainly used,academic vocabulary and other words are relatively less; the first-person pronouns occupy the overwhelming superiority in personal pronouns; the middle-value modal verbs occur most frequently,followed by low-value modal verbs and high-value modal verbs.
