摘要
Goldberg在构式语法中论述了动词与构式的整合过程就是动词参与者角色与构式论元角色之间的融合,具有相同参与者角色和角色侧重的动词必定能与相同的构式相融合。但事实上,虽然具有相同参与者角色和角色侧重的动词load和throw能同时与使动构式相融合,load却还能与带with短语的因果构式相融合,而throw不能。在探讨了造成整合观存在缺陷的根源后,本文提出了对整合观的改良方法,即赋予动词不同的角色侧重,从而解决了load和throw参与者角色相同却不能出现在相同构式的问题。
Goldberg claims that the integration of verb and construction is the fusion of verb＇s participant roles and construction＇s argument roles and that verbs which possess the same participant roles and role profile can definitely fuse with the same construction. However, the linguistic facts demonstrate the deficiency of her claim. For instance, load and throw possess the same participant roles and role profile. Load can fuse with caused-motion construction as well as cansative- plus-with-adjunct while throw only can fuse with caused-motion construction. Based on the analysis of reasons of her integration view deficiency, the article proposes the refined approach, that is, to attach different participant role profiles to the same verb. This refined approach successfully solves the problem why load and throw which possess the same partici- pant roles and role profile fuse with different constructions.
