摘要
分析Metadata的起因和发展现状,对在标准化问题上的几种态度进行评述,并从一个新兴的非结构网络数据库的角度提出在标准推行过程中需要解决的问题。
Metadata (data about data) promotes the automatic fetching and analysis of the huge mount of webpages. The authors track the history of Metadata, comment on the different methods of webpages processing, and finally reach a conclusionthat specific application based on the Metadata format should be developed and then introduce a new kind of database-iBASE,including its advantages of content management and full-text searching.
