摘要
公正地评价和推荐人才是测试的重要目的。而测试垂直量表化的缺失却使大学英语分级教学测评体系的公正性饱受质疑。同时,这种质疑又对分级教学模式形成了负面的反拨作用。因此,剖析如何构建垂直量表化,消除大学英语分级教学测评体系的弊端,对于实现测评体系的公正性及因材施教的教学理念,都将具有极强的理论指导和实际应用价值。
To be treated equally is the dream of every one. However, the drawback to the evaluation model of college English hierarchical teaching system deprives some students of the dream. The problem lies in the lack of vertical scaling. In other words, the raw scores of multi-level English tests tailored to the ability of each test-taker are not vertically scaled, which leads to both injustice and inequality among students. In order to compare scores of ability-based tests and realize justice and equality, this paper introduces vertical scaling at the beginning, then analyses the nature of the drawback to the present evaluation model, and finally describes a method of creating vertical scale for reference.
