中农出身给莫言带来了巨大的困惑和痛苦,但也给他带来了观察社会与体验人生的不同的文学视角,从而构成了莫言创作独特的"中农情结"。作为一个历史形成的精神结点,"中农情结"对莫言的创作产生了重大的衍生效应,同时,莫言也清楚地意识到了"中农情结"的过度释放可能会带来的狭隘性和片面性,他的小说因此跳出了阶级视域的历史局限,完成了对土改、合作化小说叙事模式的一次革命性的突破。
