The operation is described of the two 1 000 synthesis trains of Shandong Tanhua Group. The service life of the catalysts can reach about 5 years, the ammonia net value is stable at 13%, with the highest at 14%, and the consumption of the catalysts drops to 0.05 kg per ton of ammonia, reaching the advanced level of ammonia synthesis catalyst use among domestic medium and small scale nitrogenous fertilizer plants.
