摘要
作为赫哲族史诗,《伊玛堪》是口耳相传的汉语文本文学作品,具有独特的文化特色。仅仅依靠汉语文本进行英语翻译无法真实再现其文学价值、艺术风格和语言特色。通过翻译"伊玛堪"史诗,提出并实践了以民族学为指导的翻译策略,进而在翻译中有效补偿了因源语文本而产生的文化缺省。
Yimakan is the general term for the epics of Hezhe people as well as an oral literature with unique cultural features of their own. It is difficult to fully reflect the actual literal value, artistic style and linguistic characteristics of the epics in translation based on the Chinese text only. This paper proposes and practises the translation strategy with ethnology as a guidance to effectively compensate the cultural default caused by the Chinese source text.
