结合结构相似度的AVS帧间模式选择算法

摘要 AVS帧间模式选择率失真优化使用绝对误差和(SAD)作为失真度度量,方法简单,但不能很好符合人的人眼视觉系统(HVS);最近提出的结构相似度(SSIM)图像质量评价方法更符合HVS的特性,但率失真优化使用SSIM作为失真度度量,计算复杂,不利于实时编码。结合SAD和SSIM的优点,采用两者的结合作为失真度度量。取SAD的最优值和次优值,计算其差值,根据差值和阈值的比较判断是否需要SSIM计算。需要计算SSIM值时,根据SSIM的最优值和次优值的情况判断是否需要对帧间模式进行修正。实验结果表明,该算法较传统算法有较好的主观质量,编码时间增加很少。 The rate distortion optimisation for AVS inter-frame mode selection uses sum absolute difference( SAD) as the distortion metric,though the method is simple,but it cannot in accordance with human vision system( HVS) well. The recently proposed quality evaluation method for images with structural similarity( SSIM) accords with the HVS better,but the rate distortion optimisation uses SSIM as the distortion metric,which leads to complexity in computation and does not conducive to real-time coding. We combine the advantages of SAD and SSIM and uses the combination of them two for distortion metric. We calculate the difference between optimal value and suboptimal value of SAD,according to the comparison of the difference value and the threshold value to determine whether the calculation of SSIM is needed. If the SSIM value needs to be calculated,we then judge whether there is the need to correct the inter-frame mode according to the optimal values and suboptimal values of SSIM. Experimental results show that the subjective quality of the proposed algorithm is better than the traditional algorithm's,and the encoding time just increases slightly.
