摘要
21世纪科技翻译人才培养需求日益显现。理工类学生的科技翻译水平与自身的专业知识、外语水平等因素密切相关,在翻译中常出现语义﹑语法和逻辑错误。科技翻译工作者应重视科技英语阅读、翻译理论和技巧训练,充分利用网络资源来提升自身的专业英语翻译能力。
There is increasing need for translators specialized in EST in the 21st century. Students majoring in science and engi- neering tend to produce semantic, grammatical and logical errors for lack of professional knowledge and language deficiency. Thus translators should spare no effort in improving English translation competence by emphasizing EST reading and grasping translation theo- ry and skills while making full use of the Internet resources.
