摘要
教育事关人的完善,教育本身不是目的,人的发展才是教育的终极目的。没有人无所谓教育,没有教育也就没有真正意义上的人。教育是人类的造物,人也是教育的产物。为了能够让人成为人,教育必须是人的教育,而且是为了人的教育。为了人的教育需要直面人的天性而不能只关注教育与社会的关系。社会实践中人性的复杂决定了教育是人类最复杂、最困难的事业。学校的发明为人类的教育提供了必要的组织载体,人类也以学校为基础普及了制度化的教育。但作为人类最根本的实践活动,人的教育没有普适的规律也没有捷径可走。教育本质上是一种精神性而非专业性的活动,教育的生命在于人的灵魂对于卓越的不懈追求。
Education is closely related to the development of human beings. Therefore, it is the development of human beings rather than educating mankind that constitutes the ultimate goal of education. Education cannot exist without human beings, and vice versa. Mankind creates education and meanwhile human beings are cultivated by education. To make a man a real man, education should be the education on human beings as well as the education for human beings. Education for human beings should focus on the human nature rather than only on the relationship between education and society. Education is destined to be the most difficult and complicated cause as a result of the complexity of the human nature in daily practice. The school was created as an important and necessary unit for human education and based on this, institutionalized education has been popularized. There is no shortcut to the general laws of good human education even though education is the basic practice of human beings. Education is in essence a kind of spiritual rather than professional activity, so the life of education lies in the persistent pursuit of excellence.
