摘要
《新视野大学英语》是目前国内高校普遍选择的非英语专业英语教材,各种英语修辞手法大量充斥其中,它们的广泛使用在体现英语语言巨大魅力的同时,也给学生的阅读和翻译造成了一定的困难。在大学英语教学中,有的放矢地对学生进行辞格相关方面知识的输入,对提高他们的英语基础、帮助他们更有效地用英语进行交际起着重要的作用。《新视野大学英语:读写教程2》内容丰富,涉及多种修辞手法,我们分析了其中全部20篇课文,对课文中的修辞手法进行了收集、研究和欣赏,以期提高学生对英语语言的理解和欣赏水平,也希望能对一线大学英语教师的教学有所裨益。
New Horizons College English is the commonly designated textbook for non-English majors in most China ’ s colleges and universities , and a variety of English rhetorical devices are found to be used in its texts.Their wide application shows us the great charm of English language , but it also brings about a certain amount of difficulties in students ’ reading and translation .In the process of College English Teaching , it is necessary and very important for teachers to input some rhetoric knowledge , which can strengthen students ’ English foundation and help them communicate effectively in English .Reading and Writing Textbook 2 of the New Horizon College English （2nd Edition） is rich in its content, involving a variety of rhetorical devices .In this article all the 20 texts were analyzed and various figures of speech in the texts were then collected , studied and appreciated .By all these , it hopes to improve students ’ un-derstanding of the English language as well as their appreciation level and benefit English teachers in the frontline as well .
