摘要
书院作为一种古老的教育形式不仅承担了教书、读书、著书、藏书等非常重要的功能,在独立人格的塑造、平等自主精神的培养等方面也起到了非常积极的作用。当代书院要在兼容并蓄、躬行践履等传统的基础上,从多角度重新审视其功能和定位,扩展其所面向的群体范围,在传承和弘扬中成为当代精神的传播者与实践者。
As an ancient education form in China, academies can fulfill such importantfunctions as teaching, reading, writing, and storing books, and play an active role in cultivatingindependent character, equal and free spirit. Under the new historical background, academieswill inherit their comprehensive and practical legacy, reexamine their function and position frommulti-perspectives, expand their target audience scale, accomplish their inalienable duty ofdrawing upon and carrying forward the fine traditional culture of the Chinese nation.
