摘要
采用溶胶-凝胶工艺合成陶瓷刚玉磨料,研究了MgO-CaO-SiO2复相添加剂的组成及添加量对刚玉磨料烧结性能的影响以及形成液相时刚玉磨料的烧结动力学。结果表明:MgO-CaO-SiO2添加剂的组成和添加量对刚玉磨料的结构和性能有显著影响。当加入2.5wt%组成为5MgO-CaO-5SiO2的添加剂时,烧结后得到刚玉磨料平均晶粒尺寸达到80 nm,致密化程度高,单颗粒抗压强度为37.5 N。引入复相添加剂的液相烧结激活能为193.2 kJ/mol,结果说明该陶瓷刚玉磨料的烧结化过程由扩散机制控制。
Nanocrystalline corundum abrasive was synthesized by sol-gel route. The effect of MgO-CaO- SiO2 multi additive composition and content on the sintering properties of corundum abrasive and liquid phase sintering kinetics was investigated. The results showed that MgO-CaO-SiO2 additive had a remarkable influence on the compressive strength and microstructure of alumina abrasive. When the additive is added in an amount of 2.5% by mass ratio with MgO: CaO: SiO2 molar ratio 5:1 : 5, alumina abrasive sintered at 1300 ℃ with the average grain size about 80 nm, good mechanical properties and high relative density were obtained. Single particle compressive strength was 37. 5 N. Liquid phase sintering activation energy of the corundum specimen was 193.2 kJ/mol. The results illustrated that the sintering process of corundum abrasives was controlled by the diffusion mechanism.
