The paper gives a more comprehensive description of the detail of the M 6.2 Tianzhu -Jingtai earthquake of Gansu province that occurred on October 20,1990 and emergency measures adopted in the following aspects:the basic seismic parameters,the fundamental characteristics of the earthquake sequence,the earthquake precursors and prediction,the earthquake intensity and estimate of the earthquake damages,the seismotectonic,the seis- mic emergency work and etc.
