通过小说的空间叙事,人们可以了解人物的背景、内心活动与社会意义。在《最蓝的眼睛》中,莫里森进一步诠释了多维空间主要包含社会空间、文化空间、生活空间等。在等级鲜明的社会空间里,黑人女性的身份尴尬低下;在白人主导文化空间里,黑人女性的心灵伤痕累累、扭曲变态;在居住条件恶劣的生存空间中,黑人女性的生活彷徨无助、贫困潦倒。
With the spatial narrative in the novel, people can know the backgrouna, inner activities and social significance of the characters. In ＂The Bluest Eye＂, Morrison gives a fur- ther interpretation of hyperspaee,which consists mainly of social space, cultural space, and liv- ing space. At the level of distinct social space,black women＇s identity is embarrassing and low; in the white dominated cultural space,black women＇ s hearts are full of spiritual sears, distort- ed;the living eonditions are extremely poor, the life of black women are helpless, be on the verge of collapse.
