摘要
《大学英语课程教学要求》强调大学英语的教学目标是培养学生的英语综合应用能力,然而学生综合能力的提高离不开大学英语教师的发展。立足课堂的教师发展模式才能够实现促进学生英语综合应用能力提高的终极目标。本文通过介绍英国"以课堂为本的教师发展模式"的提出、五个要素、发展内容、发展形式及原则,揭示此模式对我国大学英语教师发展的启示。
＂College English Curriculum Requirements＂ empha- sizes that the objective of college English teaching is to develop students＇ comprehensive proficiency in applying English. Class- room-Based Teacher Development （CBTD） can achieve the uhi- mate purpose of English teaching and learning. This thesis intro- duces the foundation, five elements, contents, patterns and prin- ciples of CBTD.Finally,we give some suggestions and implica- tions to our Chinese college English teacher development.
