摘要
针对非英语专业大学生对分词状语结构的低产出,本文采用诊断性测试考察了受试者对分词状语结构的掌握情况;借助汉英翻译测试、问卷调查及个别访谈收集相关数据并利用SPSS进行详尽的分析,得出以下结论:非英语专业大学生倾向于回避分词状语结构,该结构的低产出基本上是受回避行为的影响;回避程度为中等。
After a diagnostic test conducted to check the participants＇command of participial adverbials, a- nalysis is made by means of SPSS, based on data collected through Chinese-English translation, question- naire, and individual interview as well. It is concluded that Chinese non-English majors tend to avoid parti- cipial adverbials in their written output during English acquisition, which leads to their low-production, and they avoid the target structure to a moderate extent.
