摘要
从 １７００ 至 １９４９ 年，新中国成立以前的近代地理学、地质学发展史上，有一批欧美学者来华进行实地考察，他们的活动对我国近代地学研究的发展起了一定推动作用。这一时期主要有 ５０ 多个欧美学者到我国西北地区进行过实地考察“探险”。本文对他们的考察时间、路线、研究内容和发表的论著进行了考证和汇总整理，以做为该地区现代地理环境与资源研究的参考资料。
On the history of Geography and its development ,a lot of researchers,who were from Europe and America,came to China and made on-the-spot investigation before the founding of new China,From 1700 to 1949.During this period,more than 50 of those researchers had explored in the northwest of China,They made an important improving action in some extent on the modern Geography research of China,but they also 9 blundered lots of Geographical specimen and cultural relics,which should be condemned.Their activities in China are checked and put in order in this paper.\ \
