摘要
监事会章程是哈佛大学章程体系的重要组成部分.1781～1869年间,哈佛大学监事会章程进行了一系列修订和变革,扩大了监事会的自主权力,调整了监事会成员的选举制度和办法,加强了对宗教人士和政府官员作为监事会成员的限制,增加了校友等校外人士.监事会成员结构呈现出多元化、世俗化趋势.通过考察哈佛大学监事会成员结构的变化以及校友、教师等世俗力量的加强对哈佛大学发展所产生的影响,发现大学章程在大学治理结构中具有重要的地位和作用.
The rules and regulations of the Board of Overseers is an important part of the Constitution of Harvard University. A seriers of amendments of the rules of the Board of Overseers had been made from 1781 to1869, which the Board of Overseers increased the decision-making power, modified the election system of membership of the Board of Overseers, increased the Alumni membership in the Board of Overseers by decreasing the numbers of religions and officials. Those changes made the members of the Board of Overseers more diversified and secularized. By discussing those new changes, it deals with the important role of the rules and regulations of the Board of Overseers in the governance of Harvard University.
