This paper covers the structural composition, control function and features of a computer based control system for the deaeration system of an oil refinery. A fuzzy controller is designed for a coupled system along with a description of the pressure and water level control scheme and the relevant control software. Following its commissioning the above cited system has been working satisfactorily ever since.
