摘要
黑人美学诞生于1960年代美国的黑人文艺运动。它主张单独的黑人文化传统和黑人民族主义,颂扬黑人性,反对白人的美学标准,代以源于黑人传统艺术和文化的价值观念。它是当代美国文艺批评理论的重要分支。本文介绍黑人美学产生的历史文化语境,梳理并评述了黑人美学两代学者的主要论著及观点,指出他们对修正美国文学经典、建构非裔美国文学经典和传统以及建构非裔美国文学批评理论做出了重要贡献,并阐明黑人美学与黑人女性主义和后殖民理论的关系。
Black Aesthetics was born in the Black Arts Movement in the 1960s'United States.It advocates a separate black cultural tradition and black nationalism.It extols blackness and opposes the aesthetic standard of the whites.It proposes to replace the white aesthetic standard with the values originated from the black traditional art and culture.It is an important branch of contemporary American literary theory and criticism.This paper introduces the historical context of Black Aesthetics,and reviews the major black aesthetic works and views of two generations of scholars on them.It points out that those scholars have made important contributions to the revision of American literary canon,to the construction of AfricanAmerican literary canon and tradition,and to the building of African-American literary criticism and theory.It also points out the relationship between Black Aesthetics and black feminism,and that between Black Aesthetics and post-colonial theory.
