＂Next year （the year of 2014） will be the 35th anniversary of establish- ment of diplomatic ties betweenChina and the US, with new opportunities for the development of bilateral economic and trade cooperation.＂ This comment was made recently by Gao Hucheng, China＇sMinister of Commerce. According to Gao, over the years China and the US have conducted mutu- ally beneficial cooperation in the bilat- eral and multilateral fields. In June and September last year, the two heads of state, President Xi Jinping and President Barack Obama, met in Sunnylands, California and at the G20 summit in St. Petersburg.
