摘要
为了深刻探讨哈代创作的悲剧意识,采用了叔本华的悲观主义哲学,分析了《裘德》中人物的悲剧命运、情节安排上体现的唯意志论以及悲观的自然意象的悲剧内涵,揭示了作家对残酷社会制度的无奈,希望该研究能够加深对哈代作品内涵的理解。
To elaborate the tragic fatalism in Hardy’s work, Schopenhauer’s pessimism phi-losophy was adopted to analyze characters’ tragic fate, the voluntarism in the arrangement of plots and the tragic connotation in the depiction of natural images in Jude the Obscure. Findings show Hardy’s helplessness in face of the cruel social system. Hopefully, this can help deepen the understanding of significance of Hardy’s works.
