摘要
城市容量问题是城市发展研究和城市规划实践中经常遇到的一个问题。城市容量的研究绝不应仅仅停留在土地资源承载力及环境承载力这一层面，城市容量是在一定的城市空间范围内，以某种生存、生活质量为前提所能容纳的最大人口负荷量。城市容量研究的出发点与目的是不断地、稳定地提高人类的生存、生活空间质量。
Urban capacity is a common issue in the study of urban development and urban planning practices. Studies in urban capacity not merely cover the capacity of land resources and the capacity of the environment. More importantly, urban capacity is the maximum population capacity within a certain extent of urban space in which a certain level of living and life quality is the essential factor. The starting point and purpose of any urban capacity study are to improve the quality of human living space constantly and steadily.
