摘要
严歌苓从他者视角下的中国移民、自我视角下的自塑形象以及他者与自我的对话这三个层面,对《扶桑》中的自塑形象进行塑造和表现。三个层次逐层推进,以古今两代女性移民相对照的方式,展现出身处美国的两代中国移民的现实处境与精神家园;又以扶桑所代表的早期移民精神为参照,对比和展示了重塑后的现代移民精神,并试图在西方话语霸权中寻求自我文化与精神的归宿。
Abstract: Based on the three levels of the Chinese immigrants under the others' perspective, the self-shaped image under my perspective, and the dialogue between the others and myself, Yah CJeling establishes and represents the self-image in Fusang. Through the gradual build-up of these three aspects, employing the way of contrasting the past and present two generations of women immigrants, she shows the real situation and the spiritual home of the two generations of Chinese immigrants in the United States. In addition, with the spirit represented by Fusang as the reference, she also contrasts and displays the reshaped modem immigrants' spirit, and attempts to seek the final home for self-culture and spirit from the western discourse hegemony.
