摘要 一、引言 马克·吐温是19世纪美国的文学巨匠、幽默大师、批判现实主义作家、民族文学之父,他那清新幽默的文笔、朴素的语言、幽默与讽刺相结合的文风不仅开创了美国小说口语化的先河,对美国文学产生了深远的影响,而且在当时的美国文坛独树一帜。马克·吐温被誉为＂太平洋岸边桀骜不驯的幽默作家＂[1],他擅长以幽默与讽刺相结合的手法对社会生活中的丑陋现象进行批判和揭露,引导人们在欣赏表面荒谬可笑的故事情节时,能够对社会现象进行深入的思考和探究。
