摘要
缺乏思辨能力是导致英语专业本科生毕业论文中诸多问题的一个重要原因。英语专业本科毕业论文在选题、文章的结构、论证和参考文献的选择等方面存在的许多问题都和思辨缺席有关。改善学生的思辨能力、提高毕业论文质量需要标本兼治:中小学英语教学要转变观念,采用新的教学方法;高校英语专业教学应将思辨能力和知识、技能放在同等重要的位置。
The lack of critical thinking is a major reason for many problems that exist in bachelor theses of English ma- jors. Problems of topic selection, paper structure, argumentation and selection of bibliography are closely related to the lack of critical thinking. We need to address both symptoms and root causes so as to improve the students＇ ability of crit- ical thinking and the quality of bachelor theses. For English teaching at elementary and secondary schools, ideas should be changed and new teaching methodology should be adopted. Meanwhile, at colleges and universities, critical thinking will be treated as a significant factor, similar to knowledge and language skills.
