摘要
美国哈佛大学教育研究生院2010年开设了"教育领导博士学位"(Ed.L.D),并与哈佛文理学院在2014年联合成立哲学博士(Ph.D)学位,代替了存在将近90年的教育博士学位(Ed.D),将单一的学科转化为跨学科的学习,运用跨学院的学术优势和资源,培养未来卓越的教育领导人才,继续哈佛大学博雅教育的精神和传统。哈佛大学跨学院合作及授予学位的经验值得我国高等教育院校借鉴。
Harvard Graduate School of Education launched a new and practice-based doctoral pro- gram, "Doctor of Education Leadership Program" (Ed. L. D), and created new interfaculty Ph.D. programs in education to be offered jointly by the Harvard Graduate School of Education and the Gradu- ate School of Arts and Sciences in 2014, to succeed and replace its nearly 90-year-old Ed. D degree. The reform has transformed research and study in a single subject into interfaculty collaboration. Draw- ing upon intellectual resources of the entire university, the new Ph.D. programs aim at addressing the most important issues of the 21st century, cultivating leadership in education, and continuing the liber- al arts tradition and spirit of Harvard University. The interfaculty collaboration and joint degree offer- ing at Harvard University can offer a good example for Chinese higher education institutions.
