摘要
对于如何进行得体的字幕翻译,美国著名翻译家尤金·奈达的功能对等翻译理论的提出给译者们提供了一个较好的指导。《老友记》字幕翻译运用直译、归化、缩减、增译等方式成功地实现了字幕翻译的功能对等。
As to working out proper subtitle translation, American famous translator Eugene A. Nida provides a feasible guidance： Functional Equivalence Theory, The success of the subtitle translation of Friend lies in that it achieves the functional equivalence with the methods of literal translation,domestication,narrowing and increasing,etc.
