摘要
运用福柯的权力理论,对《肖申克的救赎》中所使用的各种肉体惩罚方法进行解读,指出肖申克监狱这一权力机构,通过对肉体知识的分析和研究,制定相应的肉体惩罚方法,从而证实通过惩罚,肉体是可以被驾驭、使用、改造和完善的。
Abstract： This paper applies Foucauh＇ s power theories to reveal different kinds of technologies of physical punish- ment in the Shawshank prison, to show that the organs of power lay down the technologies of physical punishment by analyzing and studying the knowledge of the body. It points out that the physical body can be controlled, used, modified and improved by these physical punishment technologies.
