This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of compound probiotics Gu Benkang on the growth performance, cecal microflora, immune indices and antioxidant capacity of broilers. One hundred and twenty one-day- old broiler chickens were randomly divided into 2 groups with 3 replicates in each group and 20 chickens per replicate. The chickens in the control group were fed a basal diet, and those in the other group were fed the basal diet and access to the water with compound probiotics. The pre-trial period lasted for 3 days, and the experiment lasted for 42 days. The results showed that: compared with the control group, the feed/gain (F/G) of broilers in test group was lower than that the control group ; the number of cecal Lactobacillus in probioties agent group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P〈0.05), and the number of cecal E. coli of broilers aged 17 and 45 days in probiotics agent group decreased significantly low (P〈0.05); This probiotics agent can significantly increase the serum IgG concentrations (P〈0.05), the antibody titers of aged 24, 31 and 38 days (P〈0.05)and the total antioxidant capacity in plasma of aged 17, 24, 31 and 38 days (P〈0.05). In conclusion, the supplementation of compound probiotics can improve the growth performance, gain a better cecal micro-ecosystem, and enhance the antioxidant function of broilers. Meanwhile, the supplementation of compound probiotics can improve the immune function of broilers.
