摘要
在我国的大学英语教学中,文化教学大多集中在以英美文化为主的西方文化教学上,而忽略了对中国文化的导入.因而导致了很多学生在跨文化交际中无法用英语准确地表达中国文化里的很多事物,这非常不利于交流的顺利进行,也有可能造成外国人对中国文化的误解.本文主要探讨了如何在理工科院校的大学英语教学中共同融入中国文化和西方文化,以提高学生综合文化素质识和跨文化交际能力.
In college English teaching, cultural teaching is mainly focused on the western culture, many of which are about British and American culture. But little attention is paid to the introduction of Chinese culture. All these lead to the problem that a lot of students can not express many things with Chinese characteristics in English. This will hinder the cross - culture communication and result in foreigners＇ misunderstanding about Chinese culture. This pa- per mainly discusses how to blend Chinese and western Culture in college English teaching in order to improve students＇ comprehensive cultural qualities and cross- culture communicative abilities.
