Objective:To develop the Career Self-control Questionnaire for College Students, and examine its reliability and validity. Methods:On the basis of interview, open-ended questionnaire and literature review, develops the Career Self-control Questionnaire for College Students, revised and finally administered to 992 college students from Fujian Province. Results: The results of exploratory factor analysis studies shows that the structure of the Career Self-control for College Students includes five dimensions , they are: Control efficiency, emotional state of control, action tendencies, plan tendency, control strategy, including 20 items, and explains 54.25%of the total variance. The five-factor model of Career Self-control for College Students had been affirmed by confirmatory factor analysis(χ2/df=1.85、AGFI=0.89、NFI=0.83、CFI=0.87、RM-SEA=0.049).The correlation between total score of Career Self-control Questionnaire for College Students and that of CollegeStudents’ Career Adaptability Questionnaire was 0.49(P〈0.01).The internal consistency reliability of the full questionnaire score was 0.82,and those of five factors were 0.68-0.76.. The re-test reliability of full questionnaire was 0.81,and those of five factors were 0.71~0.85.Conclusion:The construct of Career Self-control Questionnaire for College Students is reasonable. The results show that the questionaire offers factorial validity and its scales present internal consistency to evaluate the Career Self-control for College Students.
