摘要
面临我国大学英语教学的重要转型和改革时期,内容依托式教学正越来越广泛地运用于各大高校的英语课堂。基于专业内容开展外语教学的内容依托式教学把英语语言学习与学科专业知识结合起来,可以培养学生使用目标语言进行思考的习惯和能力,提高了学生的学科背景知识和认知能力,促进其英语语言水平的提高。本文以蚌埠医学院为例,在学生当中开展内容依托式教学实验,在对照组和实验组之间进行对比分析,得出内容依托式教学对于学生的学习愿望和动机倾向均有一定积极影响,即学生学习愿望变强,学习动机呈现由工具型向融入型转变的趋势,从而验证了此种教学模式继续开展的可行性。
With view to the important transformation and reforming trend of college English teaching in China, Content - based Instruction (CBI) is being more and more applied in English classes. Launching foreign language teaching based on professional knowledge combines English language learning with academic background, therefore, on the one hand, improves the background information as well as cognitive ability of a cer- tain subject; on the other hand, it promotes students'English language proficiency. This paper, based on the teaching experiment of CBI in Bengbu Medical College, compares the performances between the experimental and control group and reaches the conclusion that CBI poses positive effects on students'desire of learning and motivation mode. To be more exact, CBI makes students'desire of learning stronger and helps shift their motiva- tion mode from instrumental to integrative. Therefore, the study verifies the feasibility of CB1 used in medical college.
